4,000 children from across the Faroe Islands will experience the Faroe Islands’ Largest Orchestra performing children’s concerts at the Nordic House and in Varpið.
Actor and storyteller Annfinnur Heinesen will present the musical fairy tale Veiða Vind.
Veiða Vind is a musical adventure about three siblings, the four seasons, a dragon, an elf girl, and a bear. The story also explores imagination and reality in a creative whirl. The work, written by Kári Bæk, has become a cornerstone of Faroese music history and has been performed in Iceland and England.
The concert program will also feature other well-known and beloved pieces.
The Faroese Symphony Orchestra looks forward to playing delightful and fun concerts for the youngest audience members.
A public concert will take place in Varpið, Klaksvík, and another public concert will be held at the Nordic House in Tórshavn. Additionally, 10 concerts will be performed for kindergartens and schools.
