Enekk at OY

The band Enekk was founded in 1991 and featured the song Eru vit til? on the compilation Amnestytónar that same year. Between 1993 and 2004, Enekk released four albums. While no new releases have followed, the band has continued to perform live in the Faroe Islands and abroad at various intervals. Their most recent performance was at the G! Festival in 2024.

Over the years, many musicians have been part of the band, including Bulgarian folk and jazz musicians. However, the core members have remained Kári Sverrisson (vocals, guitar), Agnar Lamhauge (bass), and Óli á Grindafløtti (piano, synth, accordion). For the concert at OY, they will be joined by Høgni Klakkstein (drums) and Heðin Ziska Davidsen (electric guitar, electronics). Høgni played drums and percussion on Enekk’s debut album, Andlit hins tigandi, while Heðin contributed to Meðan vit nærkast jørðini, the band’s latest release.
