Flytifólk

Flytifólk is made up of four musicians who have all relocated to the Faroe Islands from England, Germany, and Denmark. Their repertoire is based on the idea of travelling musicians, such as klezmer music from Eastern Europe, wedding music from the Balkans, and music by itinerant Romani people. Their music demonstrates that musical exchange and encounters existed long before modern globalization.

At the concert, we will also hear music composed by members of the group.
