Founding General Meeting of the Peace Movement – Føroyingar fyri friði

Faroese for Peace aims to promote peace among people, nations, and the countries of the world. The organization works continuously for disarmament, increased understanding, respect for different cultures, human rights, and equality.

The peace movement is being founded based on peace initiatives organized over the past year: Peace March, Peace Concert, and Peace Conference in connection with the wars in Ukraine and the Middle East.

Faroese for Peace is a unifying interest group and movement, independent of political and religious affiliations, seeking to counter the war rhetoric and polarization that characterize our time.

The organization welcomes diverse perspectives, with the goal of highlighting the importance of establishing peace in countries where war and violence prevail, and where innocent people are daily at risk.

We hope for strong support in connection with the founding of Faroese for Peace.
