GØ at OY – Vetrarjazz 2026
Today, they are among the most sought-after musicians in the Faroe Islands, yet they still hold fast to the same rebellious approach when writing and performing; in GØ, anything goes. While the soundscape GØ creates draws inspiration from the 60s and 70s, their compositions are tinged with film noir, spaghetti western, jazz, and rock.
One thing is for certain: GØ invites the listener into their unique musical world through catchy compositions, playful improvisations, and “crooked” notes.
Ólavur Eyðunsson Gaard (guitar), Kristian Pauli Ellefsen (keys), Árni Jóhannesson (bass), Hjørtur Háberg (drums), Sjúrður Zachariasson (saxophone)
