The music is like biting into a sorrel leaf: fresh, crisp, green, light, and tangy, says Guðrið Hansdóttir about her new album Sýrublað, which will be released on 10 April 2026.

The album is produced by Høgni Lisberg, and the music consists of raw and joyful folk-pop with inspiration from country, reggae, and rock.

The lyrics are written by Beinir Bergson and revolve around themes such as modern rootlessness, the longing for quiet nature, the hectic life in the city, worries about the future, and living with anxiety.

Guðrið Hansdóttir has been an active musician since the turn of the century and has released six records. Her most recent release, Gult myrkur, was named Release of the Year and Album of the Year at the Faroese Music Awards in 2023.
