Huldulitt 2026: Opening ceremony

Elsa Berg, Mayor, will give a speech, Hjálmar Dam will tell a legend, and Lyon Hansen will perform a few songs.

There will also be coffee and tea, as well as some treats from Omaná.

After the opening, it will be possible to take a walk through the park/woodland and view all the light installations there. From there, the route can continue down to the town centre, where an animated artwork by Elinborg Lützen will be unveiled at Steinatún at 5:30 PM, and then onwards to the cemetery at Svínaryggur, which will also be decorated with lights.
