Lortið (La Merda) by Cristian Ceresoli

The play takes us into a dystopian world, where we follow her journey in a consumer society where she herself is the product. In the Faroese production, it is Durita Dahl Andreassen who performs on stage and interprets the words, while Marita S. Dalsgaard directs. The play is presented by Leikhús SKIFT and GUT//productions in collaboration with Frida Kahlo Productions and Richard Jordan Productions.

After the performance, there will be an artist talk moderated by Bjørt Lind. The focus of the talk will be MeToo. Duration: 70 minutes. Age limit: 16+.

Excerpts from reviews:

“Go! You must see this masterpiece of a play, directed and interpreted by Marita S. Dalsgaard and performed on stage by Durita D. Andreassen. The rawness, loneliness, and confrontation are all parts of a brilliant, progressive contemporary artwork.” — Kinna Poulsen, Listaportal.com, October 13, 2023

“This is a major artistic experience, but also an emotional one, both grotesque and at times painfully moving, and even funny. The play places the oppression of women in our society on a pedestal and shines a light on it (…) This is truly a milestone in Faroese theatre that everyone who appreciates theatre should experience. The team behind the play can be incredibly proud, thank you!” — Niels Uni Dam, Facebook, October 12, 2023

“This is at an incredibly high level and incredibly great art.” — Niels Uni Dam, Vágskálin KvF, October 18, 2023

“The powerful element in the play is the body, as manifestation and ritual. Terrifying and inviting.” — Birgir Kruse, Birkblog.blogspot.com, October 11, 2023

“I am truly moved, because this was a loud scream from a young woman that I actually think I recognize myself in.” — Gunnvá Zachariasen, Vágskálin KvF, October 18, 2023

“I was silent. And first and foremost, it was an outstanding performance.” — Gulla Øregaard, Vágskálin KvF, October 18, 2023

“Lortið” gets five stars from me.” — Høgni Djurhuus, Sosialurin, October 20, 2023

“When the premiere was over on Thursday night, there was applause for more than three minutes and flowers were handed out. What was strange was that after everything was over, no one got up. People were sitting. Amazed and still.” — Vágskálin KvF, October 18, 2023.
