Snjómánafólkið I – Rúnaspá with Ingun Christensen

Where: Skálin
Duration: 45 min.

Snjómánafólkið I – Rúnaspá is the first book in a new trilogy by Ingun Christensen and will be presented in connection with Bókadagar.

In a vision, 14-year-old Saga sees a shieldmaiden with a sword and shield. Saga has only met her once before, but she knows they are bound by blood. Thyra Silfralitta died in the great southern war, and Saga promises to bring her skeleton back home to the North. The rune reader Karis foretells that the journey will be dangerous and advises Saga not to reveal to anyone who she truly is.

Ingun Christensen is an author who has written books for children, young adults, and adults, as well as short stories in Min Julebog and poetry.

In conversation with literary scholar and secondary school teacher Sanna Maria Klein, Ingun will present the book, reflect on creating from imagination, and read excerpts from the book. There will be an opportunity to ask Ingun questions and have the book signed.
