Buy, buy, buy! Welcome to a wild and spectacular TV show, where the hosts cheerfully buy and consume. In just a few moments, everything will collapse, but we’re not thinking about that now. Just buy! Just consume! More things, new things, buy! It’s never too early to become a consumer—or perhaps to be consumed?
Soft Machine is a performance for children where three dancers use exaggeration and humor to explore consumption. Created by the artist collective Oslo Koreografiske, the show blends choreography of light, sound, scenography, and audience engagement to challenge, inspire, and spark conversations between children and adults—discussions that may continue long after the performance ends.
Soft Machine unveils a new perspective on our stock-market-driven, restless world. Even though many of us are concerned about climate and the environment, we still fill our homes with things we don’t need. Has consumerism and environmental consciousness become a glaring paradox?
Age: 3–12 years
The performance will be shown at:
29 March, 1 pm
30 March, 1 pm
The event is part of the children’s festival Frítt Flog – Rimmarland.
