STORKEN
Storken grew up in a musical family, surrounded by the sounds of iconic 1980s artists such as Phil Collins, Queen and Tina Turner.

This musical upbringing sparked a deep curiosity that led him to learn a wide range of instruments—from drums and guitars to piano and turntables. At the same time, he immersed himself in philosophy, which became an important foundation for his artistic expression.

When he began his musical journey, he was drawn into the underground world of electronic music. Inspired by his upbringing, Storken has developed a unique ability to blend the deep traditions of the Swedish landscape with captivating electronic disco sounds. This innovative fusion is clearly heard on his debut release, Lille Vals, which was released on Gerd Janson’s acclaimed label, Running Back. The release marked the beginning of an exciting artistic path and received a warm reception across the international dance music scene.

With his first EP, Skogsdisko, Storken further cemented his distinctive style. Here, the spirit of Sweden’s wilderness and forests is transformed into an electronic disco soundscape. This evolution has attracted considerable attention and earned support from renowned names such as Todd Terje, Annie Mac, Pete Tong, Folamour, The Blessed Madonna, Purple Disco Machine, Patrick Topping, Andhim and Krystal Klear. They have all recognised his unique ability to create a new narrative within electronic music, where tradition and innovation meet.

From the sun-drenched shores of Brighton Beach to the neon-lit nightlife of Kater Blau in Berlin, he has performed at a wide variety of venues and clubs.

Storken particularly enjoys playing back-to-back sets, and he has set many dancefloors alight while DJing alongside Todd Terje, Kornél Kovács and Mall Grab.

Building bridges between past and present, he is helping shape a new wave of disco on the international music map. He has captivated audiences in cities such as Mexico City, Madrid, Cape Town and Geneva—and now the time has come for Tórshavn.

BRYNJOLFUR
Brynjolfur began producing electronic music in the late 1990s and founded the Faroe Islands’ first dedicated techno/rave group, Side Effect. At the time, there was neither a real platform nor much interest in electronic music in the Faroe Islands, which led him to relocate to Copenhagen in 2007.

In Copenhagen, Brynjolfur quickly became an active and visible part of the rave and club culture. He started DJing, and it did not take long before he was hosting his own nights at several of the city’s most popular clubs, sharing line-ups with well-known names such as Trentemøller.

International music publications including DJ Mag and Clash Magazine have described him as one of Scandinavia’s most exciting names in electronic dance music. Over the years, Brynjolfur has performed at almost every significant club in the Nordic region, as well as in cities such as London, Berlin, Paris and Abu Dhabi.

He has also appeared at numerous festivals, including Roskilde Festival and Distortion Festival, where he has repeatedly hosted his own stage representing Nordic musicians and DJs. In addition, he has performed at Sónar Festival and taken part in several showcase festivals, including SPOT Festival, MIDEM and Iceland Airwaves.

Brynjolfur has released music on both major labels such as Sony Music and independent labels such as Running Back Records. He has also remixed a wide range of artists, from Diplo and Henry Saiz to Amalie Winding.

The American radio station KCRW described Brynjolfur’s music as melancholic yet uplifting and sensual. It is precisely this atmosphere that he will bring with him when he performs for us this Saturday night
