These specialties are rarely available commercially, as they are handmade, sustainable, and produced locally.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"745\" data-end=\"977\">The homemade cold cuts come from our own sheep, the pilot whale is self-caught, and the rhubarb grows in our garden. We will share the story behind each product on a guided tour of the farm and the \u201coutfield,\u201d where the sheep graze.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"979\" data-end=\"1350\">The menu is seasonal and varies depending on the stock in the <em data-start=\"1041\" data-end=\"1048\">hjall<\/em> (traditional drying shed), but specialties such as <em data-start=\"1100\" data-end=\"1112\">skerpikj\u00f8t<\/em> (fermented and dried leg of lamb), meat sausage, salted meat, spiced rolled meat, dried pilot whale, dried fish, and salted whale blubber will be served with two kinds of rye bread. The meal concludes with coffee or tea and rhubarb cake.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1352\" data-end=\"1534\">As tradition dictates, you will be welcomed at the door with a shot of <em data-start=\"1423\" data-end=\"1430\">snaps<\/em> (aquavit). Locally brewed beer and water will be served with the meal.
