A new creative store filled with knitwear, ceramics and art

Káta Hornið means happy or joyful corner and the name derives from its history of being the corner meeting point for many people that hold fond memories of this place.

It is located on the main street in downtown Tórshavn and today it is where Faroese clothing brands DURITA THOMSEN and REKA exhibit and sell their current collections of handmade and handknitted luxury clothing for women, together with LEIRVERK that makes beautiful handcrafted ceramic cups, bowls and other pottery items.

The combination of old and charming surroundings and contemporary design makes an intruinging shopping experience, still in the joyful spirit, where it is not unlikely that you will meet the creators of the brands themselves, Durita, Rebekka and Helena, behind the counter.
Art from emerging artists decorates the walls of the shop that you also have the opportunity to buy.

On the top floor you can thrift second-hand clothing treasures.
