Family Day

Environment Week and the Nordic House invite families to an exciting day filled with activities for children and adults alike.

On the program: seed workshops for kids, lectures for adults, guided tours in the new grow tunnel – which is also open for visits – children’s cinema, repair workshops, plant treasure hunts, and various other hands-on activities for the whole family to enjoy together.

Program:

• 12:00 The Nordic House opens – activity stations, grow tunnel, and more are open until 17:00

• 13:00 Seed workshop for children aged 7–11 (registration required. Full.)

• 13:00 Guided tour of the grow tunnel with Gunn Hernes, director (in Norwegian)

• 14:00 Sashiko embroidery – mend and enhance clothes using traditional Japanese stitching (registration required. Full.)

• 15:00 Seed workshop for children aged 7–11 (registration required. Full.)

• 15:00 Guided tour of the grow tunnel with Gunn Hernes, director (in Norwegian)

• 16:00 Vegetables for Faroese Gardens – lecture with Sigga Rasmussen and Karina Toftegaard

Café Tita

Tita will be open, and on the day you can buy pasta with meat sauce for lunch, coffee and other beverages, as well as buns, cinnamon rolls, cardamom twists, cakes, and more.
