ÚRKLIPP – Peter Callesen / Anne Riis Bovbjerg

Saturday May 10th at 3 PM we open an exhibition by Peter Callesen and Anne Riis Bovbjerg. Both are contemporary artists and virtuosos in their craft, which in this instance revolves around works created from paper. They push the boundaries for what paper as a material can be used for, and transformed into, despite the history of this medium dating back 5000 years.
By cutting the paper, incising, colouring, arranging, glueing, lifting, bending it back and forth, left and right, they create reliefs, collages and sculptures that elevate this otherwise rather ordinary everyday material, while also maintaining the simplicity.
