Culture Night at the Nordic House

This performance is inspired by Alvar Aalto’s iconic vase, a cornerstone of Finnish design. The piece explores and plays with the boundaries the vase represents. It reflects Finnish identity, turns myths on their heads, and playfully investigates how the vase is used — both in daily life and as a cultural symbol.

Linda Granfors and Aura Hakuri began their collaboration back in 2001, and they have continuously developed their artistic expression. They create performance art that is both heartfelt and humorous.

At the heart of their work is a desire to explore the blurred lines between play and reality, and the clash between the absurd and the realistic.
The performance poses questions without clear answers — questions that linger as captivating visual memories.
