Brekkufeðgar (FO)

Hans Petur has brought out the saxophones, having been down at the shipyard to knock the rust off them — now they’re like new.

Bastian Fossá from Brekkurnar plays both double bass and electric bass. He is enrolled in the talent program at the excellent Skt. Annæ Upper Secondary School in Copenhagen. He is also a regular member of the Copenhagen Youth Jazz Orchestra, the talent orchestra of the DR Big Band.

The concert is in two parts.
The first part is listener-friendly, featuring light, melodic Nordic jazz spiced with some American flair.
The second part of the concert shifts to funky, poppy, and dance-friendly music by artists such as David Sanborn and Mezzoforte.
