Dance Workshop for Performing Artists (SE)
Where: Høllin
Duration: 60 min.
How do we connect without physical contact?
That is what we explore in this workshop.
Through improvisation, we work on experiencing a shared presence and sensing what the next movement will be.
The Swedish company Land Before Time draws inspiration from the patterns and currents you see in water. On a technical level, we explore movement qualities such as slow motion, popping, and isolation – and how they can create new ways of communicating and interacting through the body.
The workshop is aimed at all kinds of performing artists, but dancers and other interested participants are also very welcome.
We will be working on mats in Høllin.
The workshop is free and does not require registration.
Facilitators: Joanna Holewa Chrona & Yared Tilahun Cederlund from Waterkind
Waterkind is part of the project In the Current, curated and coordinated by Vár Bech Árting. The project is part of Startup Forum and is funded by Aerowaves – a dance network with partial funding from the EU.
