Kristjana Stéfans Faroese Quartet
Kristjana Stefáns is an Icelandic jazz vocalist and composer. Her first album was released in 1996 and since then she has made many recordings and albums as a soloist and as a guest performer. She makes regular appearances in theatre, radio, television and she works annually with The Reykjavik Big Band. She has been nominated several times and won the Icelandic Music Awards and is a multiple winner for the Icelandic Theatre Awards. She has collaborated in projects and concerts with jazz artist such as saxophonist Sigurdur Flosason, pianist Eythor Gunnarsson, drummer Pétur Östlund, pianist Agnar Magnusson, pianist Lars Janson, bassist Drew Gress, drummer John Hollenbeck, pianist Tómas Jónsson, guitarist Ómar Gudjónsson and drummer Magnus Trygvason Eliassen.
Alongside her is a trio with local jazz masters: Pauli Reinert Poulsen on guitar, Arnold Ludvig on bass and Rógvi á Rógvu on drums
