Are you an artist working with arts and culture for children and young people?

Come and meet other Nordic artists for an informal conversation. The event begins with a few short presentations by artists who have toured with Listaleypurin and visited schools in the Faroe Islands.

They will reflect on how they create materials for children and young people, and what it’s like to travel to small communities – both here and across the Nordic region.

There will also be an opportunity to talk together and meet others who work with arts for young audiences. There will be tea, coffee and fruit. 

Gunnvá Zachariassen will share how she prepares performances for older school children, and how she works on a new piece with children and young people. 

Dánjal á Neystabø will talk about how he works with material for children and young people, both in schools and other settings. Dánjal has performed his material for children and young audiences both alone and in collboration with others. 

Choreographer Sarah Aviaja Hammeken (GL/DK) is visiting Listaleypurin after a school tour both in Denmark and Greenland, and will share her work and experiences with touring across the Nordic countries.

Kristina Thede Johansen will discuss how you can work with materials children might not normally find interesting – classical music, for example – and how you can still make it exciting and offer them a new experience. 

The event is a collaboration between Listaleypurin, Dansehallerne, the Nordic House, and Nordic artists working with arts and culture for children and young  people.
