It Was Just an Accident becomes a film that, despite being deeply human, charges and ignites a dramatic tension rooted in revenge, truth, and responsibility—all framed by the Iranian director Jafar Panahi (b. 1960), who has won more than fifty international awards.

In film, he has shown a unique skill for assembling everyday details which, when placed in a new context, spiral and create a gripping story that challenges the moviegoer.

The Iranian film It Was Just an Accident won the top prize, the Palme d’Or, in 2025 and is the official French Oscar entry for Best International Feature Film.

The film will be screened in its original Persian (Farsi) language with Danish subtitles.
