The World of Gravity
Status: Few seats left
Where: Høllin
Duration: 25 min.
How can we feel gravity pulling on us? And what happens to our bodies if we suddenly find ourselves on a planet where everything is lighter – or heavier?
The World of Gravity is a movement workshop for children and young people, where we play our way toward an understanding of gravity’s secrets. Through fun, creative and sensory exercises, we explore how the body reacts in different gravitational fields, and we experiment with moving as if we were on other planets.
The workshop is built on collaboration, imagination and curiosity. We work with balance, improvisation and collective movement that opens up entirely new ways of sensing our own bodies – both in space and “in space”.
No dance experience is required. Just the desire to play, explore and use the body as our very own spacecraft!
The workshop is facilitated by dance educators Tanya Montan Rydell and Esther Wrobel from Sparrow Dance.
Recommended age: from 3 years
The World of Gravity is part of DAYS IN SPACE, a weekend in which the Nordic House turns its focus to outer space.
