Marianna Winter with band

Where: Høllin
Duration: 75 min (no break)

You step into the warm atmosphere, just like a comforting hug. The world stands still for a moment. Like lying under a warm duvet while the wind howls outside the window. It’s a little frightening, but it also makes lying in your bed feel even more relaxing.

On May 29th, Marianna Winter releases her first full-length album, The More You Know, and she wants to share the moment with you. At the release concert, Marianna, together with her tight-knit band and special guest performers, will guide us through the album, which she has written and produced with Ragnar Finsson.

The album feels like an old analogue home recording. A Panasonic mini DV camera that has captured all the most honest moments, and even if you were too young to remember them, it feels as though they live somewhere deep inside you. Noise and distortion from the tape and the digitization have warped the overall image and the memories, but the feeling remains crystal clear.

With a soundscape that blends indie folk, pop, and rock with moments of intimate indie bedroom pop, The More You Know is a soundtrack to her coming of age, and to everyone who feels caught between who they were and who they are becoming.

Look forward to warm, shimmering, string-like arrangements and heartfelt lyrics in songs that linger long after the needle has been lifted from the record. One of them, Patio, was nominated for Song of the Year at FMA 2026.

The More You Know is not just an album. It is a portrait of growing pains, a home recording that opens the door to the past, and an attempt to embrace all the imperfect pieces within ourselves.
