E-Bike tour to Historical Kirkjubø
Cycle through beautiful Faroese landscapes on this guided ride from Tórshavn to the historic village of Kirkjubøur. Along the way you enjoy mountain views, quiet countryside and some of the most important historical sites in the Faroe Islands.
We begin in the centre of Tórshavn and cycle through the eastern part of the city before gradually climbing toward a mountain pass about 190 meters above sea level. From here we enjoy panoramic views across the western and southern islands.
Continuing toward Kirkjubøur, the road leads through open landscapes and peaceful farmland. In the village we visit Saint Olav’s Church, the ruins of Magnus Cathedral and the historic farmhouse Kirkjubøargarður — the oldest continuously inhabited wooden house in Europe.
After exploring the village, we return to Tórshavn via the hillside village of Velbastaður before an enjoyable downhill ride back to the city centre.
