The Colonists (SE)
Where: Høllin
Duration: 60 min.
The history of the Nordic countries holds both friendship and war, as well as a colonial legacy that some might prefer to forget, yet one that still shapes us today.
The Colonists is an interactive dance performance that casts a critical eye on our shared history and the colonial structures that continue to exist.
In a satirical and atmospheric setting, the audience is invited not only to witness but also to take part in an exploration of power and the abuse of power.
Through an intense interplay of choreography, voice, and music, five dancers take over the space, creating an experience where the boundary between stage and audience dissolves. As an audience member, you become part of the event—drawn into a dynamic where positions, responsibility, and perspectives are constantly shifting.
Age: Suitable for ages 12 and up.
