British Rupert Marshall-Luck is praised by both audiences and critics for the engagement and intelligence of his performances. He appears as a soloist at major festivals and venues throughout the United Kingdom – as well as in France, Germany, the Netherlands, Ireland, South Africa, Sweden, Switzerland, and the USA.
His solo performances are frequently broadcast worldwide, and his recordings have received glowing reviews from the international music press, including BBC Music Magazine, Classica, Fanfare, Gramophone, MusicWeb International, and The Strad.
This programme is part of a collaboration between Summartónar and The English Music Festival, whose aim is to present living and significant works by Faroese and British composers. Through concerts and associated outreach activities, the collaboration also seeks to provide insight into each other’s musical cultures.
Two works for solo violin and narration have been commissioned for this project.
