Guided Tour of the Exhibition Scherzo – Faroese Contemporary Art with Curator Kinna Poulsen

Where: Forhøllin
Duration: 60 min .

What characterises Faroese contemporary art right now? You can gain a deeper understanding when Kinna Poulsen, curator, gives a guided tour of this year’s summer exhibition, Scherzo – Faroese Contemporary Art. Here you will get an engaging insight into the artworks, the participating artists, and the ideas underlying the curatorial approach.

The exhibition brings together some of the strongest voices in Faroese contemporary art: Hansina Iversen, SUPERVISJÓN with Lív Maria Róadóttur Jæger and Lasse Jæger, Randi Samsonsen, Jóhan Martin Christiansen, Silja Strøm, Jens Dam Ziska, Dan Helgi Helgason í Gong, and Vár B. Samuelsen.

The works span a wide range of expressions and materials: paintings, prints, sculptures, textiles, sound, video, and text, unified by a shared, vital expressiveness, intensity, and edge.

You can also buy something to eat at the café Titu, as the Nordic House is open every Sunday in June, July, and August, from 11:00 to 16:00.

The guided tour is free, but registration is required.
