Eli Tausen á Lava (FO)

His latest EP, Book of Lies (2025), is an artistic exploration of the esoteric teachings in the well-known work of the same name by Aleister Crowley.

His work Let me cry (2022) was recently performed by the Faroese Symphony Orchestra as part of their spring programme and was also performed by the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra at Nordic Music Days 2024.

Eli Tausen á Lava holds a master’s degree in music history and composition from New York University, where he studied under Julia Wolfe and Michael Gordon, who are co-founders of Bang on a Can.
