“It is more than 50 years since Hanne Jette first visited the Faroe Islands as a newly engaged woman. She was there to meet her husband’s family, but quickly fell for both the Faroe Islands and the Faroese people.

Since then, they have visited the Faroe Islands countless times, and she has gathered inspiration through sketches, photography, and observations. Even today, she finds new motifs around the country and is particularly captivated by the unique light, the houses, the small events, and the views that characterize the Faroe Islands.

The exhibition provides a personal insight into her long connection to the Faroe Islands and her love for the Faroese landscape and everyday life.
