Art exhibition with Lunde Jan

Jan Eriksen graduated from the Funen Art School and has had many different exhibitions in art societies and art galleries in Denmark, including ART in Herning. He is widely known, and his art is also sold abroad. Jan Eriksen has had several exhibitions in the Faroe Islands before, most recently in 2022.

Jan Eriksen has a great interest in the Faroe Islands. He has been on several studio trips in the Faroe Islands, especially in Mykines, where he has received inspiration for his paintings. The landscapes, the villages and the Faroese puddles are what have given him the greatest artistic inspiration, and this is reflected in many of his paintings.

The paintings are multicoloured and colourful, with a hint of fun, which is especially evident in the characteristic paintings of pigeons in various more and less abstract forms. This is also where his artistic nickname “Lunde Jan” comes from, which he likes to call himself.
