Art Exhibition with Rannva Kunoy at Steinprent

On Monday, June 23rd, a new exhibition by Rannva Kunoy will open at Steinprent in Tórshavn. An opening reception will take place that day from 4 to 6 PM, and the exhibition will run for four weeks.

It has been 15 years since Rannva last held a solo exhibition in the Faroe Islands. In recent years, she has exhibited in the USA, Spain, South Korea, and London. In 2024, the publishing house Phletora released a special art book featuring a selection of her work.
In Kunoy’s distinctive painting practice, light, colour, and form shift depending on the viewer’s perspective. She does not paint light into her images – rather, the paintings are light. Light is a central theme in her work, offering a presence and depth that must be experienced, not merely described.
