Baltic pianomusic in Tutl

Jan Simowitsch is a german pianist and author from Hamburg. After traveling the Faroe Islands on bicycle and with a small tent in April 2024, he is now an artist-in-residence in Tjørnuvík – thanks to the “Listafólkasamband Føroya”. Since his entire home, the Baltic Sea, couldn’t possibly fit in his pocket, he put the waves in his fingers. In Tutl, he presents his Scandinavia-inspired raw and intense piano cycle about the natural forces of Greenland. He will perform the piece, Piteraq.
