Bønir & illbønir (Trygvi Danielsen Føroyar 2026 65 min)

The film is a co-production between KVF and Silvurdrong, who filmed and edited the documentary during the summer of 2026.

The documentary explores Faroese culture through the eyes of two travelers who have signed up for a mysterious event in Tórshavn, where they undergo an experience they will never forget.

The story is conveyed through an intimate voice-over narration inspired by the tone and style of William Heinesen, playfully adapting his narrative voice to a contemporary setting.

Trygvi Danielsen serves as producer, director, narrator, screenwriter, and one of the film’s main protagonists. Símun Waag is the director of photography, Gorm Just is the editor, Finnur Hansen is responsible for the music mix, Peter Storm Wich mixed parts of the film’s sound, and Rúni Friis Kjær handled the color grading.
