

Book Talk: Persecution and Loneliness in Dreymsótt and Toran gongur
In the dystopian novel “Dreymsótt,” we observe a surveillance society marked by persecution, fear, and harshness. With her distinctive illustrations, the author draws attention to refugees and war in the children’s book “Toran gongur.”
In the books, we meet individuals who each feel lonely and alienated, even though they live under the same roof. How can people come closer to each other across language, religion, beliefs, and skin color?
