Býurin spírar

Býurin spírar or “The Town in Bloom” is an annual shopping event organized by the local business community, Havnarlív. It is always held in late April or early May.

On this day, shops stay open longer than usual and offer a wide range of great deals.

In 2026, “The Town in Bloom” will take place on Saturday, May 2.

The same day also marks the opening of Environment Week, featuring activities such as “Plant a Tree” at Vaglið and “A Day on the Shoal” in Vágsbotn. It’s a great opportunity to visit Tórshavn.
