Democracy Festival for Children

18–22 March 2026, Nordens Hus will host a festival celebrating community, participation, and one of the most important values in our society: democracy.

The festival presents a wide range of artistic expressions – performances, concerts, and workshops – inviting children to experience, explore, and take part in the spirit of democracy, with a clear Nordic perspective.

Democracy also concerns children. Through art, play, and shared experiences, the festival invites children to explore values such as participation, community, and inclusion – cornerstones of tomorrow’s democracy.

The target group is children aged 3–13, and both schools and families will be offered a rich and inspiring programme.

Nordens Hus has conducted an open call for projects and received many strong initiatives and contributions to the festival.

The selected programme will be presented in January 2026.
