Elin Josefina Smith Wolffsen vernissage at Gallarí Havnará

At the exhibition, visitors can experience works that Elin has been creating over the past two and a half years. This is contemplative art that explores themes within psychology, anthropology, and philosophy. The result is a thought-provoking exhibition featuring eloquent artworks that are impossible to remain indifferent to.

At the opening, Maria Hanusson Joensen, MSc in Psychology, will reflect on the psychological symbolism embedded in the artworks. Bendar Spónir will also reunite on stage to perform a selection of songs.

Originally from Sandavágur, Elin now lives in Jutland. She held her first exhibition in 1985, two years before enrolling at the design school Margrete Skolen in Copenhagen.

Elin has always been an inquisitive and investigative artist. Through courses, evening classes, and art academies, she has developed her skills in oil painting, croquis drawing, ceramics, and printmaking. She has been highly active for many years and has exhibited regularly both in the Faroe Islands and abroad. Most recently, she had an entire room dedicated to her work at this year’s Ólavsøka Exhibition.
