What characterizes Faroese contemporary art today? During the national holiday of Ólavsøka, we invite you to participate in a guided tour of this year’s summer exhibition, Scherzo. Join us and gain a deeper and inspiring insight into contemporary Faroese art.
Participating artists include: Hansina Iversen, SUPERVISJÓN by Lív Maria Róadóttir Jæger and Lasse Jæger, Randi Samsonsen, Jóhan Martin Christiansen, Silja Strøm, Jens Dam Ziska, Dan Helgi Helgason in Gong, and Vár B. Samuelsen. The exhibition is curated by Kinna Poulsen.
The works span a wide range of expressions and materials, including paintings, prints, sculptures, textiles, sound, video, and texts, united by a shared sense of vitality, expressiveness, intensity, and edge.
The tour is free with no registration required. Your guide is Turið Johannessen, producer of Visual Arts at the Nordic House.
