Now you can try the South American partner dance Bachata!

Bachata is an easy and enjoyable partner dance that everyone can take part in. The goal of Bachata is to spread the joy of dance around the world and to enjoy great music. It is not a requirement to bring a dance partner. We will start at a very relaxed pace, and we promise you’re going to have a great time.

The instructors are from the dance group Bailamos: Sharon Sivertsen and Iris Kirke. We will also be joined by a special guest, Lalo (Chokolade Records, COL/DK). Lalo is originally from Colombia and has lived in Denmark since the mid-90s.

“I am very excited to travel to the Faroe Islands and experience the Tórshavn nightlife, and I look forward to curating the night with my best, top-shelf Latin American records.”

Lalo has been collecting records since he was 13 years old, and music always played a vital role in his upbringing. Chasing records gave him a sense of meaning and joy, so about 15 years ago, he decided to open the record store Chokolade Records together with a friend in Copenhagen.

“Of course, I have a special love for Afro-Latin music, BUT I try to be democratic, so I also sell all kinds of music, such as Jazz, Funk, Disco, Electronic, and Afro, just to name a few!”
