Jazzygold is the stage name of Jasmin Mote, a Faroese artist who fuses bold pop melodies with R&B influences to create an honest, emotional, and empowering musical universe. On February 14th, she released her debut EP, it’s been a while. To celebrate, she invites you to a very special acoustic release concert, held in the living room of Elin Brimheim Heinesen, in the heart of Tórshavn.

Join us and immerse yourself in the complex world of a young woman embracing life to the fullest. Jazzygold blends R&B and soul pop in a way that is sincere, personal, and relatable—a quality that shines through in her voice, lyrics, music, and visual style. Her songs are about life in your twenties: too many parties, too many hangovers, heartbreak, panic attacks, dyeing your hair red, outgrowing friendships, and hoping for a fresh start.

With roots in both the Faroe Islands and Kenya, Jazzygold grew up as a woman of color, often feeling different and lacking role models she could identify with in her hometown of Vestmanna. This experience inspired her musical journey. Her dream is that young people—both in the Faroes and around the world—will find themselves reflected in her music. She hopes to show them that success in the “real world” is possible, even if you come from a tiny place like the Faroes, and even if you look a little different than everyone else.

Jazzygold’s living room concert promises a deeply personal and heartfelt experience, with songs rooted in her own stories, self-exploration, and a passionate desire to give a voice to those who are often unheard. With her raw, soulful vocals and signature sound, Jazzygold welcomes you into a warm, honest, and moving musical space.
