With roots in folk music and a sound that leads you straight to the heart of country, Karla Hansen offers an authentic, live, and cozy musical experience. With a powerful voice and lyrics that tell stories of life, love, and the simple things that touch us all, Karla takes you on a journey where you feel both joy and longing—always with a smile.

Karla has established roots in Tórshavn, where she also sings with the choir Xperiment. She has performed as a Special Guest at Open Mic, participated in Sement 2025 where she received a ‘Wildcard,’ performed at FK in Hoyvík, and provided backing vocals for ESTER. She has also released the single ‘Jólaverð,’ which she wrote and produced herself, and was nominated for an FMA (Faroe Islands Music Award), finishing in the top 10.

When people ask Karla what kind of music she plays, she isn’t quite sure herself—because for her, music isn’t about genre, but rather about emotions, moments, and a vibe.
