Lítlahús Reads: Klandursskrímsl
Where: Dansistovan
Duration: 60 min.
Little Monster and Big Monster are bored. They can’t agree on what to do. When Big Monster suddenly trips and falls flat in his big shoes, they start to argue.
This weekend, the Nordic Book Eater (Den Nordiske Bogsluger) moves into Lítlahús. You are invited to a creative reading session where we will, among other things, talk about what it’s like to argue and how we can speak kindly to one another. There will also be opportunities for small creative activities and games.
The event is best suited for children aged 3–5 years together with their adults.
The team behind the reading session includes Eilen Anthoniussen, editor and coordinator of Føroyar lesa. Krista Hvannastein will read the stories. She is a trained pedagogue with extensive experience as a storyteller for children. Henny Dánialsdóttir is an advisor in crafts and art at Námi and has extensive experience with creative activities for children.
The reading will be from the picture book Klandursskrímsl by Rakel Helmsdal, Kalle Güettler, and Áslaug Jónsdóttir.
With the Lítlahús event series, Nordens Hus takes a new step toward making art and culture more accessible to children. The aim is for children to feel at home and experience art on their own terms.
