Monika Stauss & Símun Hammer (FO)

Monika Stauss Joensen is originally from Switzerland but has lived in the Faroe Islands for many years. She works as a violin teacher within the music school system, she plays in the Faroe Islands Symphony Orchestra and is an active chamber musician.

For this concert she performs on violin alongside the organist in Gøta, Símun Hammer, who is an active organist and choir conductor at Gøta Church.

Símun Hammer performs on a regular basis both in the Faroe Islands and abroad. He holds a Master’s degree in church music from the Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus.
