Ólavsøka Art Exhibition at Gallarí Havnará

The opening reception is at 3 PM on Ólavsøka Eve, with Kamarkórið performing at the opening.

The multifaceted artist has art in his DNA. His father is known as an outstanding boat builder and portrait painter, and with many well-known artists in the family, Jógvan has always had art close to him.

He has painted and drawn since he was very young, and has always held on to art, despite an academic background in IT and film studies. However, it’s particularly over the last 7 years that Jógvan has become visible in exhibition contexts.

A recurring theme in Jógvan’s art is humanity, and the connections between people, depicted in abstract and thought-provoking images.
