Open Mic / Open Stage with Gjáir

The hosts, Anna and Arnold, once again welcome everyone with their usual zest for life and open arms. They emphasize creating a safe and nurturing environment where songwriters, poets, musicians, and comedians can try out new material or share something that has been sitting in the drawer for a long time.

When Gerhard and Edvin met for the first time in 2011, no one knew that this friendship would bear so much musical fruit. From cozy bar nights to the big stage at Sement with the heavy metal band Eimyrja, they have created music together in all kinds of forms. But now, it’s with the band Gjáir.

Gjáir started as a singer-songwriter duo and later added a bass player and drummer. With powerful lyrics, heartfelt melodies, and a deep friendship, the members of Gjáir aim to take you into an entirely new sonic universe.
