Open Mic / Open Stage with Tunghoyrt

They focus on creating a safe and nurturing environment where songwriters, poets, musicians, and entertainers can try out new material or share work that’s been kept in the drawer for a long time.

Right now, Tunghoyrt is arguably the most exciting name in the Faroe Islands! They’ve already taken the Sement and SPOT Festivals by storm, and the G! Festival is eagerly waiting for them. They play superbly, are full of confidence, and bring a wild energy that infects their audience.

Both times they played at Sement, the crowd stood up and applauded — and with good reason! They blew the roof off Reinsaríið with an energy never before seen in the Faroes. Their first time on the Reinsaríið stage was during Open Mic, where they played Rage Against The Machine, and the crowd went wild!

We’re as excited as kids at Christmas to have Tunghoyrt back at Open Mic, this time as special guests. We look forward to rocking out with Tunghoyrt on August 9th! Mark your calendars!
