Summarsólstøður – Midsummer Bonfire

Every year, the Jóansøkubálið Midsummer bonfire is celebrated at Sandagerði in Tórshavn, marking the summer solstice with a significant community gathering.

Join us for an evening filled with tradition and community spirit. The event begins with communal singing, where everyone is welcome to participate. This is followed by a keynote speech that highlights the importance of the summer solstice in our cultural heritage.
