At the Tórshavn Jazz, Folk & Blues Festival 2026, the Tórshavn Big Band invites you to an unforgettable concert featuring the music of jazz legend Count Basie.

It will be a truly special evening that takes you back to the golden age of swing and big band music.

Under the direction of Icelandic saxophonist and conductor Sigurður Flosason, you can enjoy an excellent musical experience while gaining insight into the influence Count Basie had on jazz.

Guest singer James Olsen(FO) lends his voice to selected songs, giving us an evening filled with well-known big band classics such as “Fly Me to the Moon,” “Good Morning Blues,” and “Every Day I Have the Blues.”
