The Faroe Islands Symphony Orchestra and Jákup Dahl Perform Poetikus

Where: Høllin
Duration: 55 minutes

The Faroe Islands’ largest orchestra is performing children’s concerts.

Jákup Dahl will tell the story of Poetikus.

It is getting late, and Poetikus is about to go to bed. He stretches, yawns, and sits down on the edge of his bed.
Sofus, the parrot, sits gazing at the sea from the figurehead behind the door.
“Scoundrel! Rascal! Fool!” he cries.
But Poetikus has already snuggled comfortably under the duvet.

Outside, the storm is howling, it crashes and roars, and the waves are like mountains.
Poetikus lives in a lighthouse far away from people. That is how he prefers it, but stormy nights turn his whole life upside down.

The Faroe Islands Symphony Orchestra performs the story of Poetikus and the mermaid with music, images, and narration. The story is suitable for all age groups.

The orchestra will also perform other well-known works – music that you have heard before and know well.

The Faroe Islands Symphony Orchestra looks forward to playing cosy and entertaining concerts for the youngest audience members.
