The Hunchback of Notre Dame

Where: Høllin
Duration: 2 hours (break included)

The lonely and disfigured bell-ringer Quasimodo lives a hidden life in the towers of Notre Dame. When he dares to venture beyond the church walls for the first time, he meets Esmeralda and is drawn into an exciting and perilous journey through Paris in the year 1482 — a journey that changes everything.

Look forward to a moving musical about love, courage, and human dignity, featuring magnificent music and songs such as Hellfire, God Help the Outcasts, and Out There.

This production is performed by five Faroese musicians who take on all roles themselves, sing the chorus, and make up the entire orchestra, playing instruments such as pump organ, grand piano, timpani, marimba, double bass, flute, and guitar. They have trained in Prague, Barcelona, Copenhagen, and Aarhus, and now return home to offer the Faroese audience a truly special experience.

The performance is based on the well-known 1996 Disney film, which in turn is based on Victor Hugo’s 1831 classic novel. The music is composed by Alan Menken, known for works such as Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, and The Little Mermaid.
